Engagement and Wedding Rings

Our bespoke wedding bands and engagement rings are custom-made and designed specifically to reflect your unique tastes, preferences, and personalities. Together, we craft the pieces through a collaborative design process so that we can create something completely unique and special that you’ll cherish forever.

See more about our set by step bespoke consultation process below.

Consultation

The process usually begins with a consultation, either in person or over the phone. During this meeting, the client/couple can discuss their vision, preferences, and any specific design elements they want to incorporate into their wedding bands and we can let them know what will be possible within their chosen budgets. If the meeting is in person we will also measure the client’s fingers at this stage.

This is Olive’s engagement ring. Stunning emerald and two brilliant diamonds set into a hand carved 18ct yellow gold ring. A very personal creative journey with a beautiful outcome.

Design Process

Based on the client’s preferences, the we will create sketches of the engagement ring or wedding bands. The client will review these designs and provide feedback until a final design is agreed upon, including choice of metal and stones.

This is Kate’s wedding band. This was a really special piece as we used Kate’s Gran’s (also Natalie’s Gran!) wedding band and fused it together with a smooth platinum band on the outside. We also included a little cut out slot at the front of the band so that the wedding band and the engagement ring can sit completely flush together on the finger. This ring took a long time to perfect and was made completely by hand using a lot of concentration and mathematics, but also trial and error!

Craftsmanship and personalisation

Once designs have been agreed upon, we will start creating the designs by hand, bringing them to life. Whether that be from gold wire or carving from wax and casting into the preferred metal, which will then be polished, have stones set (if any) and sent to the Assay Office to be hallmarked. It is also at this stage that we can engrave the pieces if the client wishes to add personalisation to the pieces such as initials, names or dates.

These are Becky and Murray’s 18ct Platinum wedding bands. Hand carved in wax and cast using Becky’s nan’s Gaelic wedding band. The bands were then slightly textured and polished to a high finish.

Fitting

Once the wedding bands are crafted, the client’s will be invited to collect their rings and try them on to ensure that they fit perfectly. If not, we will post your ring using a secure and tracked postal service.

Josh and Vick’s 18ct gold wedding bands. A classic smooth 3mm rounded band and a slightly more modern chunky textured band.
